So ummmmm can you believe that Wikipedia has a listing about the infamous "Visible Panty Line". See it here. Only on Wikipedia...LOL. But yeah, I decided to blog about this today because I read Onada's blog today and she was talking about getting her sexy back with lingerie and other sexy underwear. It got me thinking...how bothered are my fellow women about VPL? Honestly, it bothers me! I can't even front. So much so that I wear the "up your u know what" underwear everyday unless well, without being too graphic, it's that time of the month. Why? Well, I really don't remember when it all began. I just know that now, it bothers me so much to have VPL and to see it on other people, especially those who wear clothes so tight that their butts look like they've been split into 4. It never fails to amaze me when I see a very beautiful woman, dressed to the nines, looking fly, and then she turns around and the whole thing is ruined because her underwear has spoilt the line of the outfit.
Now don't get me wrong, as much as I would love to revolutionize the world and have every single woman wear thongs and such, I understand that a lot of us still exist who would prefer not to wear them and that's ok. But there are alternatives! For those of us who can't stand thongs, and other "up ur you know what" types of underwear, there is now fabulous seamless and no-show underwear made by the likes of Maidenform and Jockey with a No Panty Line Promise. So you get the comfort but none of the dreaded VPL. And it is also important to make sure you pick the right size....don't try to squeeze a size 10 booty into a small panty....you get the sausage effect anyway and that's just not cool. As far as I'm concerned, what you wear under your clothes is almost as important as the clothes themselves. The right underwear can do wonders for your figure as well as an outfit. Underwear is also fashion!!! In fact, here is an article about picking the right undies for every outfit.
I'd love to know how you guys feel about this. Is it abnormal for me to be so anal about this? It's okay...you can tell me. LOL. Does it bother anyone else? How about any guys out there, do you even care about VPL?

Nice post o..of cos it's a lil' bit not nice to see a chic with a tight pant on and her nyash is like Agege bread just cos of her undies.
I have been meaning to ask why some chics wear tight undies,do they think it is sexy or what?
I like both thongs and booty shorts but ofcourse if I'm wearing tight clothes, it's thong please... LOL!!! I DO NOT like VPL, so I understand where you are coming from.
LOL @ NaijaBloke!!! I think some women wear tight undies for the same reason they were tight clothes... believing she is a size smaller. It's hard to accept you are a 12, when you really want to be a 10 or 8... serious oh!
May..picture this...A Lady in lycra and VPL....lollllll...PRICELESS!!!!!!
@ Naijabloke: Chei! Agege bread, abi? LOL. I agree with londonbuki, I think some women just like to think they're a smaller size and don't realize that it doesn't help the situation.
@londonbuki: Thank you o jare.
@ low: LOL!!!! A big fat DON'T!
VPL is a great big no no. Its a bit on the nasty TMI side. I read a Nigerian paper where a man promised hed divorce his wofe if she wore such indecent stuff. He sia and I quote 'I will not allow my wife wear such'. Get over yourself dude
